Clinical Laboratory

T.J. Samson Community Hospital’s clinical laboratories use sophisticated, computerized biomedical instruments to deliver accurate and reliable laboratory tests. Your physician uses these results to diagnose and treat diseases.

For your convenience and to ensure results are obtained as quickly as possible, laboratory services are available to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. As an added convenience, laboratory services are available in two locations:

While there, you will be assisted by knowledgeable, highly trained personnel—please feel free to ask questions and make them aware of any concerns.

The laboratory is accredited by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and based on biannual inspections. The laboratory is inspected yearly by the Kentucky State Laboratory Inspector and is inspected every three years by the The Joint Commission (TJC).

The laboratory is under the medical direction of pathologist Kathy Bruner, M.D.
