Our Services
Volunteering—Planetree Volunteer Services
As a Planetree volunteer, your mission is to assist the staff, patients and visitors ensuring an extra dimension of care and services to each.
New Planetree volunteers can be involved in the following services:
- Greeters: Greet and escort visitors upon their arrival to T.J. Samson Community Hospital. It is a great way to meet lots of people and get exercise too!
- Baking: Bake items for patients and visitors in the family lounge.
- Arts in Healing: Share your talents in music, art, storytelling or bedside reading to patients.
Planetree Teen Volunteer Program
Teenages can explore the health care field though the T.J. Samson Community Hospital Planetree Teen Volunteer Program. Following orientation, each teen volunteer will choose to be placed in a areas of the hospital—including nursing, dietary, medical records or rehab, to name just a few.
Teen volunteers are always carefully guided and supervised by staff members.
