The Sleep Disorders Center
The Sleep Disorders Center at T.J. Samson Community Hospital offers a comprehensive range of services and treatments for sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, periodic limb movement disorder or restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy and snoring. Treatment is individualized to each patient’s needs. We evaluate patients ages 6 and older.
How would I know if I have a sleep problem?
Common symptoms of sleep disorders include:
- Snoring or irregular breathing.
- Breath-holding or stop-breathing episodes while asleep.
- Awakening with a gasp.
- Unrefreshing sleep despite sleeping at least six hours.
- Falling asleep at inappropriate times, drowsy driving, fighting sleepiness at work.
- Trouble concentrating.
- Personality changes.
- Memory loss.
- Uncomfortable leg sensations when trying to sleep.
- Leg-kicking during sleep.
Will my insurance cover these services?
Most insurance plans cover evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. However, it is your responsibility to know the coverage in your specific plan. Our office will help you with insurance verification and authorization.
