Joint Commission Information
T.J. Samson Community Hospital and T.J. Samson Home Care are fully accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC).
TJC evaluates and accredits more than 15,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. An independent, not-for-profit organization, TJC is the nation’s pre-eminent standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. Since 1951 TJC has maintained standards that focus on improving the quality and safety of the care health care organizations provide. The TJC’s comprehensive accreditation process evaluates an organization’s compliance with these standards and other requirements.
TJC accreditation is recognized internationally as a symbol of quality and reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting performance standards. To earn and maintain the TJC’s Gold Seal of Approval, an organization undergoes an unannounced, on-site survey by a TJC survey team at least every three years. Laboratories are surveyed every two years by the College of American Pathologists.
If you have any concerns about patient care or safety that the hospital, laboratory, or home health agency have not addressed, we encourage you to share them with Deborah London or Laura Hagan, patient advocates, at (270) 651-4242. Learn more about our patient advocates.
